Alyse Diamond, formerly Alyse Neibaur, grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah, where her love of storytelling began with construction‑paper books held together by yarn and glitter glue. Today she lives in the Portland, Oregon area with her husband, four children, and two beloved dogs.

Writing has been her lifelong anchor. Over the years, that early spark grew into memoir, women’s fiction, and children’s literature. In 2019, after years of journaling through grief and loss within her family, she self‑published her first memoir. A companion memoir followed in 2020—released quietly during the Covid‑19 pandemic and containing a support guide for readers navigating similar struggles.

During the long months of lockdown, she experimented with children’s books, publishing The Broken Heart in early 2021. Soon after, life shifted dramatically with the end of her first marriage. As she rebuilt her world, she paused her publishing dreams to pursue a new career as a medical assistant, working with women across all stages of life.

Now safe, steady, and grounded, Alyse has returned to her creative work with renewed clarity. In 2026 she launched Mountaintop Books, her personal publishing home. Her first release under this imprint, The Month She Borrowed Her Freedom, is a fictional “what‑if” reimagining of her divorce—written quickly as a creative challenge and published in April 2026.

Mountaintop Books is the home for all her writing: memoir, women’s fiction, and the children’s books she plans to continue. It also stands as a legacy for her children, should they ever choose to publish stories of their own.
